I am thinking of getting the lead singer of my favorite band tattooed on my right shoulder.The reason-I feel as if this band saved my life! I once tried to end my life. Obviously it didn't work.
I was still completely depressed when this band came out.Their music helped me out of that really dark time in my. Do you think this is a good idea?
I want a picture of this singer singing!

Every song on their first album described what I felt and what I was going through.
"Crawling" came out weeks after I tried to kill myself.
For the first time in my life,I didn't feel alone. It took a few years but their music helped me out of my depression. I 100% believe that I am alive today because of them!

Even if I decide that I don't love their music in 50 years,I will always love them!
I don't their symbols.I want chester singing.it was his voice that saved my life.

I already have an awesome tattoo artist.
He does great portraits. I'm not worried about that.He is going to do a portrait of my god-son. he is working on it right now cuz its not just a pic of my god-son. I have other stuff that I want added to it.

I think it's a great idea. That picture, I'm not so sure about. I personally would go for something head on. Like, directly in Chester's face, not angled. But, you tattoo, your choice. The meaning behind this is great. I personally have 2 band tattoos, but they are covers from their cds.

If you'd seen the linkin park performance I witnessed you might change your mind. One of the worst jobs of performing I have ever seen.
I don't think that portraits of people you dont personally know are a great idea. I think its rather strange to wear a total stranger's face for the rest of your life.
Everyone else is right: go for the lyrics that you really like. It is the lyrics and the song that helped you, not Chester's face.

It takes a very gifted tattoo artist to be able to tattoo a photo of someone and make it look like a perfect print. You'd need to do your research on the artists you visit or you could end up really disappointed. It's not like a flower, or tribal, it's a photo and it has to be perfect.
Why not have the name tattood on your wrist or ankle.

i wouldn't go so much with a picture of chester but maybe choose the lyrics that helped you the most and maybe get a picture that resembles that time in your life or the way you left when you left that time in your life and maybe get the lyrics inked on along with the picture!!!

I normally don't agree with band tattoos, as you won't always necessarily always like that band.
But if you are positive this is the reason, then go for it. But, people will always go on about how your not going to like this band in x-amount of years.

i love that song!
just one thing though... are you going to love that band in 50 years time? and is someone's face something you want? (band symbol could be a better-lasting tribute... just an idea)
