They can go away on their own, but they usually need to be removed with surgery or need to be treated with medication.

Genital warts can always come back though once they are treated. It's estimated as much as 50% of people who have had genital warts treated, end up developing them again.

most of the time the warts will go away on their own, if you wait long enough. But it may be better to get a treatment if you see your doctor. Some treatments can be applied at home and others are applied by your doctor
