It is suppose to help you. Look your medication up on www.webmd.com and speak to your doctor.
Zoloft for example is an anitdepressant to also help with anxieties. It's what I call a two-fold medication. Works for 2 things.
Always consult with your doctor and I always look up my medications on the above website. It's very imformative.
You should have also recieved information on your medicine when you purchased it. Which provides information about your meds. I believe all antidepressants come with a warning as do anxiety medications.
I am on a great anxiety medication. But it does not work for depression.

Absolutely it is a possibility...contact your doctor immediately if you are having a tendency to these thoughts but do not stop taking your medication abruptly as that can have even worse effect on your system. It may take a few tries to find the right med for you but keep at it.....

Yes it can. It takes 6 weeks on average to see if a new medication will work (or a combination thereof). This is the most frustrating part of dealing with depression. Once you know what works for you, it get much easier.
Talk to your Dr. and ask for a change (dosage / new med..)

Yes it can. If you feel like you're getting worse from the medication talk to your doctor immediately. If you continue to take it and wait to talk to your doctor later it could be even worse. Most doctors would switch your medication as soon as possible, but don't stop taking it until you speak with your doctor.

firstly your doctor would have prescribed anti-depressents to you as suffering from some kind of depression. you could need something stronger or even weaker as if your getting depressed on these anti-depressents they're suppose to help with the depression that your suffering from. but then again anti-depressants can be & usually make you addicted to them. it's sometimes best to talk to your GP about this and get re-assessed for the anti-depressants that your on. you're always supposed to take them at the same time every day as directed from your GP. Take my advice and where that takes you and good luck. they longer your on them the harder it is to get on anti-depressants.

That is very true. If you feel this way contact your Doctor so they can change your meds. It may take a few tries to get it right, but when it is right you will feel alot better.
