Colossians 2:20-22
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
Isn't it saying, if dead to law = alive unto God,
then why are ye still subject(slaves) to laws?
Then doesn't it go on to clarify:
by the using of laws all perish?
But the all thereof is all the KofG "within you",
for by thy words thou art condemned: Mt 12:37
and it's your words that defileth you in Mt 15:11.
Put this with: law is the "ministration of condemnation",
and "God did not send his Son to condemn the world".
So I asked this question on Y! A:
Perish the thought of
one all perishing
by the u-sing of laws?
And the Y!A Police deleted it,
saying that it was a violation(?),
perhaps to speak grace & truth.
Or do they just hit the delete button
whenever a childish fundie says to?

Dear Victor 7707,
I gave you a thumbs down,
and your non-sense vanished.
Xians are as legalistic as Jews:
("another law" still "law"...hell-o).
Muslims are simply more legalistic,
putting dead works to their dead faith.

Matthew 19:17-78 states:
Now someone approached him and said, "Teacher, what good must I do to gain eternal life?"
He answered him, "Why do you ask me about the good? There is only One who is good. If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."
For Christians, Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses.
Christians are not held to the ceremonial parts of the Mosaic Law concerning of dietary purity and temple worship.
Christians are held to the moral law of God, some of which is expressed in the Ten Commandments.
However Jesus took the Ten Commandments to the next step summarizing them into the two Great Commandments:
+ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
+ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
And teaching things like
+ Everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
+ Everyone is our neighbor including our enemies.
Therefore we have to go much farther than the original recipients of the Ten Commandments ever dreamed.
For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, part 3, section 2: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3sect2.htm
With love in Christ.

This is you.... Looking out at the ocean and refusing to believe you will not fall over the face of the earth cause it looks like it ends just.... about... there.
You read with a closed mind and heart so your pride and your closed minded ignorance won't let you understand the word, the bible, the truth.
You assume you know what the world holds so you speak with a loose tongue with pride and ignorance. Ages ago no one believed there was anything beside us in the world then planets and and a a whole beautiful universe was found.
Black holes and so much more. Some of us believe there is even life in space, but refuse to believe in heaven in God.
The truth be told he comes with love and whats right and wrong so that you may live a healthy safe and prosperous life and you turn your back with wise cracks you think helps you look smart, because you want to be able to dance in sin and still be right.
I feel sorry for you, and hope one day you humble yourself long enough to listen I mean listen to the truth.

I can tell you that sometimes there deletion of questions just doesn't make sense, I know this okay, Now if we believe in Christ then we are no longer under the law, but under grace, as the Lord showed Peter, call nothing unclean. That has all been done away with. Judaism still believes in the law and islam but Christianity is done with it. Jesus died on the Cross at Calvery and did away with the law by fulfilling it. He sacrificed himself once for all mankind, his Perfect blood atoned for our sins once and for all forever, the blood of bulls and goats was no remission for sins, hebrews chapter 9. Great question.

First of all ,,,,, I can understand your confusion because you are reading a "watered down" version. Look on the web and read that same scripture from a KJV Bible. I am not trying to be rude, but a lot of times, other versions leave out some of the most important parts of God's Word.

We are dead to the law,but the law was a school master
for us to look back and see what happened to those who
broke God,s law,in seeing that we can conclude that
if we sin and do not repent we will die forever.

I don't know what they do, but I say WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?????????????????
And run from the deliberate mistranslation of the old King James version of the Bible. It is from a newer flawed version of the Greek and also has deliberate mistranslations like "Easter" that was not in the Bible before it was ADDED by King James people in 1590's.

No it doesn't say if you dont abide by the law you go to heaven. God wants us to obey his commands. Obeying his commands not only pleases him, but it is also helpful to us. God want us to ask him for forgiveness and repent of our sins.

*yawn* quoting the bible has as much fun factor as trying to watch a cactus grow. How would you feel if someone started quoting I Ching, Mahabharata or Tripitaka to you?
