birth control for pregnancy issue. but for std...nothing you could really do. you need to talk to him. if he insists on not wearing one, then cut him off. no condom, no sex.

No condom, then NO sex. Stand your ground with this jerk. Do you think if you got pregnant, he would stand by your side or drop you like a hot potato? I'd guess the later. You'd be best to tell this guy to go find himself another girl and move on.

If you respect yourself sufficiently, you'll insist on him wearing a condom. He should be more responsible, too. He could contract an STD from you or get you pregnant.
If you're worried you'll lose him because of this, then, frankly, he isn't worth keeping anyway.

Don't have sex.
Tell him that it's his choice to use protection, or find someone else. Then be ready to stand up, and don't back down from that. Be prepared also that he may find someone else.
You should be with someone who will respect you and your body, not make you feel that something is wrong if you want him to wear protection.
Respect yourself and your body enough to find someone worthy of your respect, if he's not going to play by the rules (that you set up about the protection).

if you WANT to have sex with him, make sure it is PROTECTED. Tell him: NO GLOVE, NO LOVE. This will protect you about 98 % from pregnancy and any sexually transmitted diseases.
