The medical risks of smoking pot are usually lower than smoking cigarettes only because people that smoke cigarettes can easily go through 1 or 2 packs a day, year after year, while most pot smokers don't smoke anywhere this amount. If you compare one joint to one cigarette, a joint is more toxic than a filtered cigarette, and less toxic than a single unfiltered cigarette. All of the problems caused by smoking cigarettes can occur with smoking pot, and smoke of any kind can cause bronchitis. Pot smoke can be very harsh on the bronchi. I'll bet the doc tells you to back off the smoking. I stopped smoking pot because I kept getting chest and sinus infections after smoking it.

I hate to burst your bubble but marijuana will lead to lung cancer (actually faster than cigarettes because of the deep inhalation), emphysema, bronchitis, pneumonia and chronic obstructive lung disease... not to mention the damage it is doing to your brain. You haven't been sober, you've simply changed the drug you poison your system with. Just saw some VATS (video assisted thoroscopy) photos the other day of a joint smoker and his lungs were actually dark blue instead of pink. He had to have the surgery for blebs on the lung.

What you know to be true is actually untrue and rather obvious, however due to the damaged brain cells resulting from your use of pot you have reached another conclusion. Smoking virtually anything can cause lung cancer, however since the other effects of pot smoking are far more damaging, it is less likely that a big deal will be made of the lung damage. Also, unless you are a rich loser, it is not likely that you will smoke enough pot to equal a regular smoker's intake.

Marijuana still contains chemicals that are harmful to the health. When marijuana is inhaled, it is usually held in for times longer than cigarette smoke, thus allowing tar and other chemicals to be absorbed into the lungs.
Marijuana users face the same respiratory problems as regular smokers, such as bronchitis, wheezing, and general difficulty in breathing.

Anything you smoke is dangerous to your lungs. Smoking a joint is worse than smoking a cigarette. You sure like to mess your body up dont you? You act as if smoking weed isnt a big deal and it is! Weed DOES damage the lungs!!!

You're drawing smoke into your lungs. Whether it is pot or tobacco the resulting damage is the same. Don't be an idiot!
