Ok I know what most people are going to say ....its the water I'm drinking, BUT it does not matter what kind it is (filtered, spring ,mineral, etc.) I can drink or eat anything, even things mixed with water without getting it, but if I drink plain water, even a small sip...warm, hot, or cold,....heartburn for hours on end!! Get what I'm saying....... only water!! And to the silly people that say it is something I ate before the water....NOTHING gives me heartburn EXCEPT water. I can eat anything I want and I NEVER get it unless I drink water. WATER!!

Patient: "Hey Doc, it hurts when I do this..."

Doctor: "Well don't DO that!"

My first question would be how much water? If you're overfilling your stomach you may be inducing reflux, causing acid mixed water to be forced partway up your esophagus. Of course there are countless other possible problems. You should see an M. D.

Never heard that one. Bicarbonate of soda works (lick your finger and dab a load on then swallow it). If not then some over the counter antacid.

its not the water. but something you ate or drank previously, i have horrible heart burn and my doctor said it can be triggered by something you ate days before the symptoms occur. you might consider seeing specialist to solve the problem.
