Simple foods will do the trick! Of course there's cake and ice cream, right? So for 150 hungry teenagers, you should have barbecue...Hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, ribs, potato salad, rice, dinner rolls? And while the barbecue is cookin' and guests start to arrive, appetizers/centerpieces should keep their stomachs calm until the real food is done =) Have fun and HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!

I like dips, personally, and if you get some good ones, people will fill up on bread and dip. Do some fruit platters with a fruit dip and then do hot dogs and hamburgers... if you have a grill, it's nice and easy.
My favorite dip recipe is this one:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Basil-Pesto-Bread-Rounds/Detail.aspx
You can serve it will chips or a storebought french loaf... you don't have to bake it like the recipe calls for... it's good just on plain bread and the dip cold out of the fridge. Read the reviews to get a feel for how people like it.

i think finger food would be the easiest. any thing from crackers and cheese/meat trays to pizza. having things like burgers is a bit much because not only do you have to have the meat, cheese, buns, pickels and so on .

well honestly, you should have your food items revolve around your likes.
i like Italian stuff, so you can do some pasta dishes, pizzas, simple things like that,. you don't want to get too out of hand.
