Cold sores (oral herpes) can be passed by sharing a cigarette or drink with someone who has cold sores.

Cold sores are NOT considered a STD though, because they affect your mouth/lips, not the genital area. They are usually passed by kissing someone who has them, or sharing something like a drink or cigarette. About 75 - 80% of the WORLD has cold sores. It's VERY common!

Take care!

(And yes, smoking is VERY bad!)
