Hi Goldie
Its called heart palpitation, some people call it a heart murmur. it is caused by a neurological signal misfires its when your heart skips beats or full beats feel like it is fluttering and some times it hurts. I have them, when I told my Dr. he didn't believe that I could tell when they were happening and then one day I sitting in his office and I told him I was having one, he gave me a funny look said no way then took his stethoscope finger on my wrist and he was in shock my heart was skipping beats. I was told that I would need to get an EKG, but I said no and went home.
Heart palpitations or murmurs can be life threatening but it is hard to detect, if you believe this is happening to you, you can insist that your Dr. do test. How old are you? If you are a teen tell your mom that you think you are have palpitation and if she can get the Dr. to do test if you are an adult then you are on your own....
So Good Luck, hope you find the answer you want.

Palpitation (aka flutters) can be caused by a variety of things. I have them most often if I've drank too much caffiene or am under a lot of stress. Most time they will go away on their own or when I stop what ever has caused it. If your doctor says you're fine then go by his advice. But be sure to contact him if you notice a change in how often they occur.

Saturated fat is the main dietary cause of high blood cholesterol. Saturated fat is found mostly in foods from animals and some plants. Foods from animals include beef, beef fat, veal, lamb, pork, lard, poultry fat, butter, cream, milk, cheeses and other dairy products made from whole and 2 percent milk. All of these foods also contain dietary cholesterol. Foods from plants that contain saturated fat include coconut, coconut oil, palm oil and palm kernel oil (often called tropical oils), and cocoa butter.
