You will have a very hard time finding a non-biased site..
Both the pro-meat and the anti-meat camps seem to create and/or encourage their supporters to create one clone website after another. You'll have to weed through thousands of pages of biased lies to find anything that is purely scientific without the influences of either side..
I have yet to find a single non-biased site. But, I also don't have hundreds of hours to weed through all the clone sites..
If you find one, please send it my way.

Heather, what are you smoking? I call them the Center for Corporate Freedom, as it was founded by a tobacco lobbyist, for Gaia's sake!

It's hard to find an agency that is truly without an agenda. Center for Science in the Public Interest is the closest I can think of. They're veg-friendly, but will say that some meat items count as "right stuff" on their nutrition action newsletter. Check out www.cspinet.org.

its true, the CCF is run by people affiliated with the resaurant, tobacco and alcohol industries. the best thing to do is to read a lot. and i mean a lot. as you do that, try to figure out whether each source is credible. look for underlying agendas, and be a critical consumer of what you find. but, ultimately youre going to believe what you want to believe.
personally i really like the website sourcewatch.com, check it out and decide for yourself though. there was also a book that came out in the 70s i think, called diet for a small planet, which you should be able to find easily. in short its about the impact of food on the planet and ourselves. it goes through the many reasons people become vegetarian, and has a lot of information that is still relevant today. hope you find what youre looking for.

Try this one:

The Center for Consumer Freedom:
The Center for Consumer Freedom is a nonprofit coalition of restaurants, food companies, and consumers working together to promote personal responsibility and protect consumer choices.

The growing cabal of "food cops," health care enforcers, militant activists, meddling bureaucrats, and violent radicals who think they know "what's best for you" are pushing against our basic freedoms. We're here to push back.
