krister and drusilla---you've given opinions but haven't really given a yes or no to a yes or no question.

Is Dr. Mercola's research showing the dangers of genetically modified food a lie?

The FDA is funded by the pharmaceutical companies. You actually think the FDA serves the people?

tart----you know I can't let that slide. You have answered exactly like I wanted someone to. Your opinion is if you agree with it, it must be legit, if you don't, it's a lie. Very human.

I think that's why there's only 3 answers to a very good question. The silence is deafening.

He's a total quack.

That's why he has to have a disclaimer on every page on his website. He has recieved at least two warnings from the FDA.

His quackery is very similar to the nonsense that the Weston A Price Foundation excretes all over the net.

The answer is no, I don't use him as a source of information and think he is a douche but I can still agree with him on some things. I'm not implying that I even know what he has or hasn't said about GE.

I also just happen to agree with the FDA in the case of Dr. Mercola.(that he needs to shut the f*ck up)

I put them in the same league(not in regards to power, obviously) so they can cause all the trouble for each other that they want as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately, you always know who's gonna win.

Dr. Mercola is a salesman. He is not a scientist or researcher who is tenured at a university, he is a guy who sells vitamin supplements and books, and having unconventional views helps sell his product.

He uses research projects that are legit to support his soy assertions, but he tosses aside dozens of other research projects that don't support his views.

I would rather rely on more legit organizations, like the FDA, Health Canada and the American Heart Association to give me information on what I should and shouldn't eat.

Lie is such a harsh word, and I'd never stoop to calling anyone a liar. I'd say he twists the facts to fit his situation.

Forgive me for providing my opinion, BUT a guy can be totally off base about one thing and totally on target about another.
