There are 2000 suggestions at the site referred to below !

Remember this names has to be something you like and also short enough for you to use with commands such as SIT

I think Beauty(as she is a cutie) , Bailey (as is baileys cream) or Marley (as in Marley and Me.... a lovely book about life with a lab) are great names

The name you choose says as much about you as it does about your dog. It shows how you view your dog and your relationship with it. Some names can cause people to judge a dog and react positively or negatively/fearfully when meeting it. Depending on whether the dog is a pet, therapy dog, search & rescue dog, tracking dog or any other dog that works with the public, it is important to use a name that conveys the proper image. Happy searching!

Apaprently the most popular dog name in North America is Sam, Sammie or Samantha (which means "listener"). The second most popular is Max, Maxie, Maxwell or Maxine (which means "the greatest" in Latin). Third is Lady, followed by Bear, Maggie, Buddy, Tasha, Chelsea (or Chelsie), Holly and Shasta.

Good Luck :)

Many people name their dogs with an O sound at the end. If you think about it...this is confusing for the dog if you tell him No...or in normal conversation use the word no or words with the O sound the dog will turn his head. Our friends did this, and then always called the dog stupid because he came for NO sounding words....Go Figure...who is stupid here....??
A little common sense goes a long way....
You don't say what sex your new puppy is.....??
Avoid sex determination names....this may help to deter theft of your Pedigree pup as well.....
I like these names: SNICKERS, Bruiser, Caliber, "T" for(Toffee) (and he knows both names and comes to both), Coors, Miller.
All but the last 2 have been my Pets names, and they work for male and female.
The last 2... I am reserving for the next pets....
