There are several kinds of vegetarians - none of whom eat meat of ANY kind.
1) An Ovo - lacto vegetarian who eats no meat but does eat egg and dairy products
2) An ovo or lacto vegetarian who eats either egg OR dairy products
3) A strict vegetarian who eats neither
and finally:
4) A vegan who tries not to use any animal products at all for example: honey, down, etc. The standard they follow is up to each vegan but it is more of a lifestyle for them not a diet.

Vegetarians do not eat fish, and we have gone over this numerous times. Your friend who eats fish and calls herself vegetarian is severely misinformed. Vegetarians do NOT eat the flesh of any animal, and last time I checked, fish are animals.

Fish is a meat, therefore it should not be eaten

"Pescetarians" are not true vegetarians .

Anyone who calls themselves a vegetarian and eats fish is WRONG.

Anything that has a face is NOT suitable for a veg lifestyle.

Fish are animals too, wether you consider them meat or not.

If you're a vegetarian to ''limit the suffering of animals'', then you're a hyprocite if you eat fish.

If you want to be a vegetarian, I suggest not eating fish. After all, does a cow deserve to live more then a fish?

Some people call themselves vegetarian and eat fish. Real vegetarians don't accept them as vegetarians.

The correct term would be Pescetarianism. Vegetarians do not embrace consuming animals of ANY kind. I follow the Pescetarianism diet myself and find it be to satisfying and rewarding.

I will not get into the "politics" of whether it is right or wrong. Just giving an appropriate answer.

Vegetarians CAN eat whatever they wish.

They CHOOSE to not eat unhealthy products from inhumane industries.

And no, meat is meat. That's like someone telling you they're a virgin while you watch them have sex. If you eat fish, you're not veg.
