I am a big fan of the traditional gifts, for the first anniversary it is "paper"....so I bought him a family bible...it has space to record all of the major events in our lives together and the lives of our children and whatnot....

Maybe some kind of a photo album or a scrap book of your life together including his family/friends, along with yours...inside jokes between the two of you....something thoughtful and romantic. I think any man would love this...I think this would be the perfect one year anniversary gift. Along with maybe a little striptease dance! Anything silly/romantic.....whatever your heart desires.
PS-I dont know if you're the kind of woman that lights candles...and gets all romantic like that...I never was until years later......men really love the extra touches...that extra femine appeal goes a long way! For the two of you!!
PPS- Visit your local sex shop! Maybe pick up a sexy leather whip! lol whatever floats your boat. Have fun, and Congratulations!

I am sure that the first year of marriage is called Paper. So maybe something made out of Paper would be good. Like a book. I think year five was leather. I asked for a nice leather handbag but my hubby had other ideas.

Go out to a nice romantic dinner. Or you could celebrate your wedding anniversary on the weekend, where you "both" should plan something nice and memorable. After all it takes "two" to get married and be man and wife. We women shouldn't think that our anniversaries should be all about us.....you know the typical flowers and jewelry from the "man" thing. It should be something you enjoy together. By the way, Happy Anniversary!

The traditional gifts for 1st wedding anniversary is paper (both UK and US), so going by that something made from paper - can't think what (apart from a card!!). The modern version, however, is clocks, so maybe a nice watch?
