The vicar explains the ceremony to the congregation. The couple take their vows in front of God and their friends and family to be faithful and true. The ring symbolises a relationship without beginning or end, like the couple's love. There may be a reading from the Bible or a talk from the vicar. The vicar wraps their hands with the scarf thing to bind them together and calls on God to bind them together. They are then pronounced man and wife.
The legal part of the ceremony then takes place with the signing and witnessing of the register. During this the congregation sing or listen to some music. When they return, they walk together through everyone who's present so that they can see they are now married.
Weddings need to be very public events so everyone knows what's gone on.

The man and woman exchange wedding vows saying they will love and cherrish each other, then they exchange rings. Finally they kiss each other at the end and are married. Later they get divorced and the woman will take all the mans money-spends it all and they are both poor and miserable. In my opinion, it's better not to get married. That way the man is assurred of retiring and keeping the money he earned and the woman is forced to pull her weight and work for a living instead of getting fat and taking her husband for granted. They seem to get a long better when they are not married and enjoy sex more

google sample wedding ceremonies. You'll see all sorts of ceremonies.
usually there is some sort of welcome by the minister, a prayer, affirmation by the couple of their intent to marry, vows, rings, (any other elements they want such as songs. poem readings, unity candle, etc.), SOME religions have sermon or bible reading of some sort, benediction, and the couple is pronounced wife and her servant.... I mean husband and wife.
