I am not sure which religions you mean, or are you getting the mortal men whose interpretations altered religions confused with the founders of those religions and the GD that has reigned over them?

I have been a member of two different faiths-rabbinic Judaism and Messiaic Judaism/Christianity, and while I do know there are many people who believe, lead churches and temples of believers, and raise families of believers where the reason to believe is simply because someone said so, this is not what the Bibles say.

Ezekiel is just one book that condemns the Jews for following the shepherds blindly, because the shepgherds, the Levites, the rabbis had led them astray as the years went on. GD was furious for the ways the shepherds had led the flock, and said He would come personally to correct the situation, and bring His servant David-Jesus.

Jesus said that those whio blindly follow the blind fall into the ditch, that it was up to man to seek and he would find, and not to merely follow others. The reasons for His existence, the prophesies of His birth, His youth, His ministry, His times, His friends, believers and adversaries, His death, resurrection and lasting legacy, and the Spirit that would come after Him, even the second coming, all are in the books needed to prevent one from being blind.

It was mortal man, who leads congregations, change rules, interprets Scripture in unintended ways, that accepts blind faith people. Faith is not supposed to be blind, because the truest way to have faith is to understand, and that comes from exploring the books and looking at the words inside and then looking inside the words.

I agree with Mahal but see your point. I find people get in a huff when I ask too many questions, but I think thats just because you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with all the answers and that can give them to you in a way that makes sense...........so they act like your questioning their 'authority/faith' because they know that these are the same questions they once were asking untill they eventually gave up and there you have the so-called blind faith people and the cycle continues with the next generation unless you're one of the persistent few, like myself.

Religions don't have "likes" and "dislike".

You have to have faith as an adherent to a religion, because of the fact that it is based on acknowledging a Being not "in" this world

There are always people who follow blindly....science is no exception. I know people who know nothing about the big bang and evolution theory who swear blind it's true, just because they have been told that. It's up to the individual to teach him/herself and discover truths for themselves.

No religion can stand up to serious questioning , therefore they want followers who believe everything they're told blindly. If we say , that's the way it is - - then that's the way it is .

Actually religion is like marriage... you want them to come in with their eyes wide open, and after getting married keep them half closed.

Faith by its nature can never be blind.

But for those who believe without ever seeing what they believe in, there's no harm if they turn out to be right, is there?

Because they are easy " marks " . They only want sheep in their flock . That way they will only follow the Sheppard no matter what . Resistance is futile just like the " Borg " If you don't go along with them ......You know im right , bothers you don't it ( remember the branch dividians WACO ,TX )
