GOD is real,but if he was not were do you think that you would be now,well i will tell you ,at each others throats as that is what we would do without rules .silly me ! i forgot that's what people are doing now . Banks would rob us all those other people in the same type of work would line their own pockets first, but you pinch a penny and you will end up in jail they have the power ,or think they do. Police are there to look after us or are they looking after themselves as they have a job for life , because we would all be doing wrong . And of cause the government ,are they not also looking after us ,if they are it looks as if they come first, is it not strange that are welfare is again down at the bottom of the list You see if you are rich and powerful you can have it all they do not know that they cannot take it with them .But do not worry there is a GOD and what they are doing now is first driving them mad then putting them on the road to Hell ,yes many are suffering at this time but not as much as they will for their Greed , Yes look at them they grab for every thing even those things that they don't need or want except GOD ,he will show them very shortly as he has had enough and they will pay,their lives ,family's, fortunes will be taken from them , and for there lies ,peace also .

Come on ! You know why mankind invented a God that isn't real . It's impossible to invent a real God . If he was real , he wouldn't have to be invented .

Social Management;
the majority of religion seems to be very rule based. Be good and you'll be rewarded, do this, that and the other and something bad will happen to you.
And if you read between the lines on these rules, it's about maintaining a family unit, being nice to other people and generally respect for life.
There are quirks to this; attitude towards women being one of them as well as homosexuality.
God (Or whichever diety) plays a key role in this as the person watching you to make sure that you do behave. Bit like the bogey man. Do good or he'll get you!!
And Katie's right; it's a way of explaining the unexplainable or blaming/thanking something for extreme evening of good/bad luck.

Man has always needed something higher than himself to pray to as this gives a sense of comfort in a very painful world that weighs very heavy on us all.The higher self within us all is the one true God and always will be.

Social control. The ruling classes can't be everywhere to boss around the under classes, so they invented a Cosmic Cop who is everywhere and sees everything.

Katie's exactly right. Religious beliefs tend be built around rationalisation of phenomena for which primitive people had no understanding.
