How long has it been there? Did you fall? How big is it? Does it look like a cyst, a bruise, a pimple even? There is something called a pilonidal cyst. It's a cyst at the bottom of the tailbone (coccyx) that can become infected and filled with pus. It looks like a large pimple at the bottom of the tailbone, just above the crack of the buttocks. If you had a fall there could be something more serious. Either way you should contact your dr.

first make sure that lump is supposed to be there, that it's bone and nothing else. Sometimes if you've fallen or slept uncomfortably, etc. it might hurt for a while till it recuperates. If you think you seriously have a problem then sure go ahead and pay a doctor a huge amount of money to say that you're ok. I suspect that you just bumped it though. That seems to be a vulnerable place on the body and lots of people hurt there. Use a pillow for comfort.

My husband had a cyst surgically removed from that area. The cyst came up pretty quickly & was painful. He recovered quickly.

pilnodial sinus cyst very common will need removing surgically

look up pilonidal cysts. it sounds like that is what it might be. ( I am not a medical professional) look it up and then call your doc!
