I have had a cat for a nearly a year. At first she was rather cute but then a couple of months ago she just started to become a real pain. Scratching the furniture and peeing all over the place.

I took her to the vet to have it checked out to see if anything was wrong. The vet told me she was fine and nothing medically wrong. I tired to have her placed in a shelter as I could not handle it anymore, but they just told me that she will most likely not be adopted due to her issues.

Last week I finally had it and just could not take it anymore.

So I decided to have her put down. I figured it would be better to end it quick than to have her stressedd and put into a shelter with the same ending.

Today, I am a little emotional about the whole thing and torn if I did the right thing...

Ladies any thoughts?

I'm not a huge Cat fan, I prefer Dogs. I can say however that I have no use what so ever for stupid Human beings with no clue of how to deal with an animal that is their responsibility. I doubt that this really happened , I figure your probably just fishing for answers to this type of question, but if it did really happen, I suggest that the next time you want a pet , you should just get yourself fixed and leave the animals alone.

The drug used to place animals to sleep is quite an anaesthetic agent for horses and cows. genuinely the positioned-to-sleep technique it to offer an overdose of anaesthetic - the animal actually falls asleep simply by fact the anaesthetic takes result, and then dies jointly as asleep. it quite is an exceptionally non violent technique, quite the main suitable thank you to bypass. The 'first shot' persons are speaking approximately is a sedative. it truly isn't given, in basic terms now and back if an proprietor requests it. is oftentimes pointless, as a ill animal isn't energetic and could carry nevertheless for the intravenous injection. i've got attended actually hundreds of euthanasias. the only time animal ever react to the injection in any respect is that in the event that they are old and according to probability scared, now and back feeling unexpectedly sleepy makes them sense strange and that they could leap around somewhat. The injection is so rapid nevertheless - as quickly because it quite is interior the blood (and it quite is injected straight away into the blood) it takes actually seconds to take result. there's no discomfort interior the approach, the drug would not sting. That's funny, your other question said the cat was trouble from the start. So which is it, was it cute at first or troublesome all the way?

Get your stories straight if you're going to try to BS people. Oh, and get a life. If you even HAVE the children you keep mentioning, shouldn't you be tending to them instead of being a b_*tch on here?

No point feeling emotional or torn! Clearly, if you were really concerned aboout the problems, you would have taken the iniative and the effort to retrain your cat! your cat would have changed its habits with the proper guidance given! You just took away a life! You should have given it someone who would care for it,

I'm pretty sure you messed up too while growing up, did your parents put you to sleep?????!!!!!

Have a heart woman!

Do the animals a favor and never get a pet again. You don't have the compassion and dedication it requires to be responsible for another living creature. Sure hope you don't have children.

Well judging by your skanky avatar you're a conceited chick (IF that's even you) who cares far more about herself than any living, breathing animal. You should be ashamed of yourself. Because you couldn't bother training this cat it has to DIE? Shame on you!!!!! Please do not get anymore pets. You don't have the patience or compassion required to own one. And you make me sick.

A little work with this cat and all of it's problems would have disappeared. You just killed a cat because you couldn't be bothered to try to modify it's behavior.

you did not do the right thing killing an animal just because you are to LAZY to train it and i hope you never have kids as you would probly not be able to handel them and if they stopped looking cute you would probly send them to an orphanage or something i suggest you NEVER get a pet again.
