False. Prohibition is the main cause for anyone to be in prison, but the majority of crimes are not drug related. Granted, some drug related crimes are extremely high in some areas of the United States, but the number of inmates due to drug related crimes are the minority. It has also been shown that more people are arrested while under the influence of alcohol, than narcotics when a crime is committed,

False! If you are saying that if drugs were not prohibited there
would not be a high number of persons in jail! Just because crimes are drug related does not mean that the crime
wouldn't happen if drugs were legal

False, prohibition is not the main cause. the high numbers of crimes will still be committed regardless of whether the drugs are prohibited or not. As you have said, the majority of crimes are drug related so we should stop all drugs from coming in which is impossible due to corruption and all that.

Our prisons are filled with drug users and drug dealers. Prisons even have a juvenile section, so that youngsters caught with pot or alcohol can spend weeks in jail or on Probation. They are asked to pay for all of it, plus fines. The prisons are so full that occasionally the government orders the release of non-violent prisoners.

But prison is not what it used to be. Many of today's prisons are profit-making private enterprises. The more people arrested, the more people crammed into those cells, the fatter the profits, the more money for the investors. New prisons are in the works and investing in prisons should be a lucrative way to fatten your portfolio....and most of the profits come from imprisoned drug users or pushers.

Even those prisons still run by the government are expected to pay their own way, with the government only spending money if the prison shows a deficit. So they have all sorts of creative ways to make money, from the sale of Coke and chips to the services of a Counselor. All puts money in the till.

I guess its true, although I wouldnt say prohibition is the cause, I'd say drugs are... You can make the drugs legal n the crimes are still gonna happen cuz when you gotta get high you do crazy sh.t to get money for drugs and it doesnt matter if your buying them from the store or your dealer... And addicts are gonna keep going to their dealer cuz he's gonna start cuttin deals to keep you coming to him... He cant lose business cuz once your in the game theres only 2 ways out, jail n death... If he doesnt pay up at the end of they day the boss doesnt care why, he's gettin capped...

Ya'll prolly gonna read this and be like wtf thats wacked but the way I say it is its gakked... Maybe in your hood sh.ts done different, but here if you wanna survive as a dealer you cant lose money twice, n when you go to collect, you gotta be backed and its your boss who does that... If drugs were legal n people stopped buying from dealers the entire city would be shot up, no ones gonna die without shootin back...

Technically true, that a lot of people are in prison for drug crimes, but they would still use and distribute drugs even if they were legal.

False, if you are living a righteous life, you would do drugs to begin with.Don't use the law against illegal drugs as a crutch to justify your own corruption and evil.
