My husband and I both do because it is mandatory for both males and females to dress with modesty. I also wear a head cover, why, because this is my belief and my interpretation of what is expected of women from the Quran and Prophet Mohammed's(SAW) sunnah..

I wear my hijab when i pray... i know i should wear it all the time, but since i havent told my mom i reverted to islam, i dont want her to question me and tell me why at the wrong time.. shes a semi strict catholic so i really dont know what she would say. i try giving her clues but she just ends up saying biased stuff about Islam. anyhow i will surely wear it next year during my sophmore year. my high school is located in a diffrent city then mines, and i did not know there was going to be a lot of Muslims in my school..!! it makes me so happy to see other sisters wear the hijab.

Yes, I wear the hijab because of these reasons:
Firstly, Allah made it a rule for all Muslim women to cover.
Secondly, the hijab acts as an identification for Muslim females. I am proud to be a Muslim, alhamdulilah, and keeping a strong faith in Allah gives me the will to wear the hijab in public. And the hijab has become a part of me now...I feel incomplete without it.

Unfortunately i have not yet started. I am 13 and in high school. In my area, there are barely any Muslims. My brother and I are the only ones in school. I'm scared of what people would do and i don't want to end up stopping wearing hijab if i start. My heart is set on wearing it, but i'll start when I'm 110% committed. Don't get me wrong, i love Islam and am extremely proud of it, I will start soon. Thank you sisters for your motivation.

No, I don't. Personally, I am not emotionally ready. I know it's not a good enough excuse for Allah, but I don't feel like if I started wearing it now, it wouldn't be from the heart. That's the whole point of wearing the hijab and it wouldn't be fair.
I feel I want to wear it sooo bad, but it's still too soon for me for the fact that I'm scared I will end up taking it off soon after.
InshAllah I will be ready to wear it in the near future.

Yes, alhumdolillah I do wear hijab. And I wear it because it has been made compulsory for women in Islam. Hijab gives us a lot of security. It gives Muslim women different identity. I feel secured and receive more more respect from men when compared to those women who just reveal themselves to strangers. Men automatically get to know their limitations and they tend to lower their gaze unconsciously.
I’m a proud Muslim Alhumdolillah and May Allah guide all the Muslim Women to be on the right path of piousness.

I do wear hijab. Because, "Hijab" is mandatory for all Musim woman,
But you know all the people from different religion donot follow the mandatory part all the time, pray for every muslim that they try to understand, why they should wear hijab.

I was imressed with the answer of "Aliya and Adams Mom"
It so because I too have a similar stand on praying the Five times salat. Now this kind of approach from Muslims have been quite popular in the recent past.
I dont know why...may be because there have been hundreds of Questions against everything that you do in Islam.

i cover my head with scraf and make sure that my whole body is covered by my dress properly, i don't wear a hijab cauze i am short highted and careless so i can't carry it well but still i dress up according to the islamic teachings
