OK, I have to draw something for my church group, and it's supposed to be something thats religious AND related to thanksgiving! Does anyone have a cool idea? It's due in 2 days! Help me! It's just supposed to be an illustration for their newsletter, it doesn't need to be real fancy...

Impossible. Their is nothing in the Bible as regards the worldly observance on 'thanksgiving'.
Once a year people may set aside a day for thanksgiving, such as the national Thanksgiving holiday observed in America. But even then how many observers of this holiday actually offer thanks to God? Are not their thoughts more on feasting and having a merry time than on the many gifts God has given? Can it be said that thanksgiving is offered to God by indulging in an extra-big meal? Thanksgiving to God does not come from the stomach but from the mind. It is verbally expressed.

Why don't you try something simple like the last supper its religious and has a thanksgiving symbolism everyone around the table eating and being together. Hope that helps.

As I understand it, the Pilgrims came over to America with a version of the Bible called "The Great Bible". It is a earlier Bible than the King James, and was the Bible that was 'popular' at the time.

You could show that with a turkey maybe . . .. . . . . . .. lol
