Hey White Boy! Thank!!! I found this 411 for you, on the folllowing site: http://www.anysoldier.com/
"We have Soldier contacts on the "Where to Send" page. Click through the names and select the one(s) you wish to support. They list what the folks they represent want and need. We even have a search capability so you can easily identify what the troops need most. All the Soldiers involved in this effort are military volunteers stationed in areas that are in harm's way. You send your support (letters and/or packages) addressed to them and when they see the "Attn: Any Soldier" line in their address they put your letters and packages into the hands of Soldiers who don't get much or any mail first. Everything is shared. We have "What to Send", "How to Send" ...You send your support, and maybe some stuff, directly to whatever unit or units you want, you don't send us anything."

If this doesn't satisfy your ?, It was easy to google. I bet they have your answer!

Don't forget to STAR!

Absolutely! I've used 3 of these links already, but I appreciate them all. I've sent jelly-bellies (the poor man was practically PC screaming at me for those!), sunglasses (to my English mate fighting in Afghanistan), Mint Chocolate Girl Scout Cookies to my friends son in Iraq, and I'll never be able to count the Christmas cards my son and I sent last year. We do it again this year, too. But even more important than all of these material things, not to discount their importance, is that America always make sure to send their love and support, letting soldiers KNOW that America loves them. That we believe in what they do. I've made quite a few friends by communicating with soldiers.

We, at home cannot do their job, and without them, America is dead.

God Bless the Troops!

What a wonderful question (and many suggestions which could prove very helpful to our men and women in uniform)! Those reading should take the time to print this page and post it at work, church or give it to organizations who could help out.

We have a nephew serving in Iraq and he told us some of the things they like to receive. The most surprising food request was for fresh fruit. We belong to Costco and Sams Club and can get a large bunch of bananas for a very small cost. I was not aware that they could be sent by the Post Office to the military but, I sent them at a low cost and they arrived in one week. There are so many fruits available and you might even consider sending a crate of oranges or grapefruit that are available this time of year. My nephew and his companions shared the fruit and were thrilled. We have also sent granola bars, nuts, candy (which won't melt), gum, and many different items they love to receive (CD's are another favorite) and also magazines (cars, sports, or anything they might like to read about).

Our military is the finest in the world. They are serving us and protecting our freedoms. They need to know how much they are appreciated and how thankful we are to have them to do the job which is so necessary.

Some do not believe there has been any progress but, I can tell you that there are major improvements and those who are there feel that the truth is not always being told to those back home. This can be very discouraging.

Send a letter and a package and do it often. We do care!! Let them know by taking the time to write and send that package. Letters from home are very important and so is the surprise package from the ones who are benefiting from the service they are doing for us.

God bless our military and God Bless America!!

Migz:
Thank you for a wonderful question and for your support of the military!! Not only do you deserve a star; YOU are a STAR!!

I have been to Iraq and I can tell you the best feeling is getting letters and care packages. It gives this awesome feeling that you are really appreciated. Some people think that putting a yellow ribbon bumper sticker is supporting our troops, that is ridiculous. Instead of spending $5 on a lousy sticker, spend 39 cents and put a stamp on a letter and send it to a troop overseas and I promise it will be more supportive.

I've written a letter to big joe my car stereo guy. He has been in iraq for 3 years now. I will check out the sites soon but I have been dealing with the murders of my friends and neighbors death she was dying of terminal cancer and her son was only 15. They were both shot twice. I have been occupied with taking care of the animals. I will check the sites soon but I have been busy. I starred your question as requested.

Is there a site that will let you pick the unit that you send it to. I got back from Iraq not to long ago and I would like to send care packages to the guys that replaced us. I am infantry and I know how bad it sucks there for infantry so naturally I want to send my packages to them.
