Just a few hours! Everyone makes a storm in a teacup here, just like there is mass panic when we get 1/2 an inch of snow.

Here in the US, it must be 90 degrees F for 3 consecutive days.
I'm not sure if that is a worldwide standard, though...so this might be a useless answer.
