Are they the virgins that are spoken of in the Koran?

I'm talking about after they're death? Where did they end up? Like did people before Christ go to hell that sort of thing?

Pin: you make the virgins sound like terrorists.

If I died a virgin, I'd feel more than a little choked that I would be given to a dead terrorist for all of eternity. Not exactly my idea of heaven.

I believe the virgins spoken of in the Koran are actually "perpetual virgins", as though a loss of virginity were a disease that could be "cured". If that's the case, I think we can be reasonably certain they aren't the sacrificed virgins you mention.

For what it's worth.

Can't go to someplace they didn't know existed.

The sacrifices went to whichever afterlife their culture subscribed to. Remember, most sacrifices in most cultures were treated as revered folk, honored, treated well, and guaranteed a place in the "god" afterlife because of their sacrifice of their lives.

the exception to this is the sacrifices that were crimminals- then the belief was the "worse" afterlife.

Ummm - terrorists??? WTH? It's basic history! Aztec sacrifices - treated with great honor. Druid sacrifices - prisoners and crimminals. Look it up - it's really not that hard to find.

Good idea, they could be the virgins for the Koran! That makes sense, they were sacrificed and they all go up there to be divided into groups of 72.

Now some Muslim will come and tell me it meant to say raisins, or handmaidens or something. :-/

Pagans sacrificing pagans. God=Heaven. No God=No Heaven. You would have to research each religion? to determine what they believed.

The quran does talk about a mysterieous amount of random virgins.

Well sometimes people do outrageous things.

My faith had sacrifices. the modern view is that they where misdirected. the virgins went to Nifleheim and to a place of rest.

I think we'd have to ask God. After all, he's the originator of the idea of sacrifices, right?
