I think not, they'd have to be nuts-o to want to give their money away to be used on things that we have no say in, to be given to people that don't deserve it, when I (they) worked hard for it, and are missing that much more out of their paycheck after having to pay for insurances...

Well, there are people who enjoy being beaten with whips and chains or even being pooped on so I guess there are some who must get their jollies from paying taxes.

I wouldn't necessarily say that I ENJOY paying taxes, but I certainly understand the need for them so I pay them without much complaint.

I lived in Europe for a number of years. Those poor bastards get the bejeezus taxed out of them over there -- up to double what we pay here in the US. I know, I used to have to pay many of the same taxes there. From that perspective, I laugh all the way to the bank when I pay my taxes here in the Good Old U S of A!

I enjoy taking all deductions and credits that I can legally take. I may agree to a certain extent that all levels of government (federal, state and local) are wasteful and should be all held accountable. However, I do not see any other way for any level of government to operate without collecting taxes. Also, I believe that government does not want to see the masses to get ahead with their finances such as: taxing on interest gain at a bank (rates are low) and if you make over $50,000 (AGI) you are not eligible to get the retirement savings credit. Too many conditions and rules are in effect which only provides confusion and potential fraud. More can be done in revamping the tax code.

I am sure that no one enjoyed to spend something w/o anything to get back in return. Taxes are needed for our countrymen and that is to enjoy a better environment and have a better life. I don't mind paying unless it will not goes to corrupt pocket. Good if y ou are at Senior age you will get a pension out of it like in other countries - let say USA or CDA. In the Philippines, no way!
I am not enjoying it, sorry.

A lady at my church says she is a great believer in the taxation system because it enables the government to provide services such as street lighting, garbage collection, hospitals and local doctors, local councils, etc that otherwise we would not have. She has a point!

I think it's just when we see our money being spent in ways we disagree with that we really get annoyed!

I pay my taxes straight out of my salary each month, so I never even notice them. I think this is a much better system than having to calculate them at the end of the year and pay them all in one go!

throughout history, the most hated public servant has always been the tax collector, no one likes that individual, but taxes are needed in order to properly run a government, I have paid my fair share of taxes on everything, and although I dislike paying these taxes, it is needed, so I do my part.

I do think that the taxes being paid to the government should be used by the government to help those in our society to have a better life, especially when those people are struggling just to put food on their tables for their families. I think the taxes should go towards helping these people get better educations so they can get a better paying job which would greatly improve their comfort level, but I don't think that our hard earned money that is going for taxes should be wasted by any government on foolish things like wars.

You might not be old enough to remember Arthur Godfrey, a radio personality from the 30's o the 60's who said," I get great joy from paying taxes. But I would get just as much joy from paying half as much tax."

There could be some people who enjoy paying taxes, but maybe a small percentage.

I wish I could pay more taxes. The real estate market has been down and now I make less money.
