Sometimes they seem to enjoy it, other times they whimper and I stop scratching their ears. Do they like it, or do they not?

Funny, I had a Lab that loved it. He would close his eyes and moan and drool. Couldn't get enough. Now I have a Yorkie that really doesn't care for it. For both dogs I did have their ears checked. Thought the one liked it because there was an infection and the other didn't because of the same. I guess it's like people.

My babies like their ears rubbed and scratched. And I agree sometimes dogs can have ear infection, if they're scratching at theirs ears, shaking their heads excessively or if they have a foul smell. Take them to you vet and have them checked.

my dogs love it, maybe they are whimpering because they have sore ears.. dogs can get ear infections sometimes..

Because they can't do it. Just like right between their shoulder blades, they can't get there either, it's why we put Frontline there.
