How can i dye my hair brown with blonde spots?

I've died my hair before, but never 2 colours on my own. I dont have the money to goto the hair dressers. Anyways.. I want to dye my hair somewhat a brown color, and have blonde (very light blonde) spots. I was told you couldnt bleach dyed hair. So how would i do this? Would i put foil on the pieces i dont want blonde, dye it all brown. then put the bleach where the foil was?

got to dye the whole hair brown first then the blonde spots with the foil

Well, if you get spots, they'll never change!
