Lots of calcium foods, like milk cheese and remember exercise is important for building strong bones. Eat all foods and vegg and fruits and lots of water. Weight lifting is important for strong bones. Walk, run, cycle, swim keep active. Or else more pains will occur.Could also be due to poor circulation and blood clots.

Well, there certaily is nothing he can EAT(?) to ease bone pain!? The bone you are reffering to is called the coccix or tail bone and your friend probably bruised it by falling on it or hitting it against something. Or else, he might have a disc problem in his lower spine. Either way, he needs to consult an orthopedist and get some x-rays. Good luck to him.

Your friend needs to ice it for 10-12 minutes a day. But his tail bone was injured right?? It takes a while for the pain to go away. Tell him no running or any other vigorous activities.

That cane be just a bruise of the coxis bone(tip of lower spine) or something much more serious. I know some one that had that pain for quite some time and it turned out to be cancer! So I would go to my Dr. and have it looked at.

Your friend...young old, fat, slim, athletic-couch potato, healthy-sick, seeing a family doctor or NO maintenance in a long time. Did he injure this bone or is it just painful from no known situation?
See? Lots of variables here-and I ain't even a medical doctor.
He NEEDS to get to a doctor. What he is calling pain, COULD be a reaction to desease-and the diagnosis of desease is NOT the purview or function of this board. IT COULD BE SERIOUS!

I would try to take Omega-3 twice a day.
it is the tail bone i believe..medical word...coxed bone?
Did he fall? Is he a thin person? Try to sit on a soft pillow.......shift possitions from one cheek to the other several times.

umm, he should prolly eat some pain pills. If he bruised his butt, for lack of bigger more annoying words, then there isn't anything he can do, deal with it. Same if he broke it I believe.
