Neil DeGrasse Tyson - Atheist.
Richard Dawkins - Atheist.

Edit: Charles Darwin's daughter, Henrietta, was present when Darwin died, and she has stated that her father never recanted his scientific claims. It's her word against Elizabeth Hope (the Christian lady), and I'm more inclined to believe the daughter.

Sorry to burst yer bubble, Chiksita.

Not comtemporary, but interesting. When Charles Darwin was on his deathbed, he told his nurse the truth of his life. He said that as a young man he wished to make a name for himself and that he was now afraid to die and face the judgement seat of God. He told her that he had made up this fanciful tale of evolution and he was surprised that anyone would believe him, let alone everyone almost! The nurse was a Christian lady and she reminded Mr. Darwin of his youthful days and of all that he had been taught about repentance, that he didn't have to face eternal damnation. Charles Darwin DID accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior before he died. So, for all the Christians and other religions that so much enjoy putting a pox on Darwin's house, you ought to stop it or he might not feel kindly toward you in Heaven. LOL! And for all of the evolutionists and atheists out there, doesn't the truth here just kinda bust yer bubble? Check it out!
