All you people who have had a long term illness please tell me how you coped with it. I am getting seriously angry, I don't have a long term illness but with me it has been one thing after another lately. Started with a flu which led to bronchitis which lead to pneumonia which has led to a yeast infection, heartburn and nausea. I have been suffering with some kind of crap EVERY DAY for 6 weeks and who knows when it will end, add my pollen allergies and the fact that its spring (In australia) and I am just really frustrated at my body for feeling like ****. What should I do to feel more positive?

I think I am just stressed because I am moving to the desert and the date was changed 2 days ago and now I am leaving in one month rather than 2 and I just want to get better because I have so much to be done before we leave.

Look at that sweet baby from your profile picture. Maybe focus on someone else and you won't think quite as much about yourself.

I have Multiple Sclerosis. I was diagnosed with it in October of 2002 but they said I probably had it much longer than that. I've gone blind, gotten my vision back, I've walked with a walker and almost been in a wheelchair and now walk on my own again. I'm tired all of the time, and feel crummy quite often. I also have been diagnosed with a depression disorder for which I take Effexor and Neurontin (anti-depressant and mood elevator) THOSE are the only two things besides my therapist that keep me alive. You have to find what works for you, but medications may be what you need. Dealing with any long-term health issues is enough to give you good reason to become depressed.

You are in depression. You should consult a psychiatrist to come out of the present depression.. The persistent illness which you are undergoing may be the chief cause for your depression. For this kind of depression I suggest you to undergo a training programme on yoga and pranayama excercises with the help of an expert in the subject. Human life is precious you should not extinguish it in a moments of depression. You ahve to take this challange and face the life boldly. You need counselling.

Have you visited a physician?!
hm.... stay positive by(i know it hard) not focusing so much on everything that's wrong with you. Keep preocupied by doing anything but sitting there and making yourself feel worse than you acctually are. (Do activities with your family, read a good book, even watch tv!)
Hopefully this will not last much longer.
Stay positive!
Be thankful what you have is not long term or completly life threatening.

Ever heard of "Wherever you go, there you are?" Stop feeling sorry for yourself there are people less fortunate than yourself. Your little aches and pains will pass focus your attention on that little one that is emotionallly dependent upon you.

Lady---get over yourself and go visit someone in a Hospice or in the hospital who is really sick, and then come home and count your freaking blessings.
