I have had one for a few days and it is really pissing me off. I got it from taking heaps of antibiotics for my pneumonia and now I am constantly feeling sick and throwing up at night as well. I am so sick of being sick! It has been 6 weeks! How long will this bloody uncomfortable yeast infection last for? I have been using natural yogurt to try soothe it but that stuff smells bad and is probably whats making me vomit, I am too embarassed to buy any cream from the pharmacy.

Guess Who- If I wasn't a female I wouldn't have a yeast infection in my VAGINA. Women talk to each other about these things, nobody knows me and millions of people suffer these infections, it's not like I posted a photo of my privates for crying out loud!

Ok first off the antibiotics caused you to get a yeast infection...I bet you know this now!

Anyways this is what you can do to prevent a yeast infection
COTTON undies so you can breathe down there

When you shower use unscented dove soap to soap up your mons pubis(where there is hair) but do not put ANY soap in there.

Never ever douche...it messes up your PH

Never ever use scented stuff near/for your vaginal area
including scented pads etc.

Change your panties every day and after you work out after all you change your socks and shirt why not undies????(this is just being clean imo)

Yeast grows in dark moist areas so by keeping your area happy(what I listed above) and in breathable fabrics.

Now sadly you do need a yeast cream...make sure this is a yeast infection by visiting your doc and getting a test...it could be BV or another infection. Doctors have seen/heard it all trust me. You're not going in there for something uncommon. Don't be ashamed.

Now there is no need for embarrassment

Yeast infections do not spontaneously disappear, especially one this severe.
The advice of 2nd answerer is right on.
Also, go to a real health food store and ask for probiotics- the good stuff that was killed off by your meds.
If you are embarrassed, phone first and ask for the strongest probiotic they recommend. If you can't have dairy, be sure to mention that.
Take the capsules, they will speed up relief tremendously, along with the right meds, you cannot take too much of it.
Also, cut out all sugar (feeds a yeast infection like crazy), and for the same reason, any aged, fermented foods like cheese, pickles, etc.
Eating garlic is extremely helpful, and drink lots of water.
Take good care, hope you are feeling better soon.
If it's bad enough, external ice packs in a towel can help.

If you get the medicine for it, it can be gone in a day. You can get a prescription for one oral fluconazole, and that will also clear it up in a day. If you don't take anything, it will just get worst.
No pharmacist will make any comment about you being an anti-yeast infection medication. If you need help, most pharmacists will be happy to help you choose.

OK, did you have augmentin for the pneumonia? that is a very strong antibiotic and it will cause the WORST yeast infection!!!!! I had augmentin and i got a yeast infection and took 1 diflucan, yeast infection medication by prescription, and it didn't work. I had to go back to the drs, and they had to prescribe me 4 weeks of diflucan!!! So you need to get to the drs!!!! its a very nasty thing, and if not taken care of , you can get worse, urinary tract infection, many other things!!!!!!The cream won't help you now anyway, don't buy it, waste your money on a dr. visit!!!!!!

there is no way to get rid of a yeast infection without medication, yogurt is not a cure...if you cannot get to a doctor there are UTI medications at drug stores and it cures within days. good luck
