You need the right Software like Acronis True Image. With that Software you can "download" your harddisk to another place etc.

you could create an .iso image but theres no way to compress it to the size you specifyed unless the contents of the hard drive were less than the size of the medium your useing so in other words NO however you could just set the target drive in the master slot of a pc and the empty drive in the slave position setting the jumpers accordingly and use a knoppix cd to copy the contents from one drive to the other however agian the destnatin disk would need to be the same size or bigger than the oraganal this would also take a while and if its got windows on it it would need to be re registerd with microsoft
