What exercise is good for toning your butt? I need an exercise that requires little or no equipment

the best exercises for your butt would be anything that has u squat to the ground... using your legs..

squats are an excellent exercise.. they will exercise your thighs and butt... u can use dumb bells, or a barbell over your shoulder... or can do it with no weights just by squating down..

using weights will be a big benefit though.. try doing them 3 times per week.. squats seem to work well with a lot of reps.. about 10---50 reps... maybe about 3---8 sets..

Squats and lunges are usually really good with toning the muscles in the butt (i.e. gluteus maximus and hamstrings). Really, with both of those you don't need equipment. You can just do squats and lunges without out weights, and as long as you're doing the exercise slowly and frequently then it'll definitely help.

i suggest you do 'squat thrusts'.
