For any current Royal Marines or Ex-Royals?

I'm just wondering how did you like your experience in the Marines...the training, the commarodity etc?? Was/is it all that you thought it would be?? And has it changed your life? I'm just wondering because my boyfriend is going off to Basic soon and I'm curious as to how it turned out for you.

Camaraderie is developed in the Marines because of the hard training and closed companionship.
