When people quote the bible because you did something wrong and they want to show you what the good lord would say, they read the lines verbatim and the meanings are exact.

However when you ask the blind believers about the genesis (beginning pages of the bible), many are quick to say that these words and sentences should not be taken at face value, etc...

Good old double standards if you ask me.

BTW according to the stories in the bible, god first created Adam and Eve, yet we now know beyond any doubt that dinausors existed on earth well before mankind... At least according to the bible!

We could discuss this forever and ever but if God truly exists (which I don't believe), don't you think He could solve this issue instantly for now and foreever and turn us all poor souls into believers and followers by just appearing. Oh I forgot, it is all about faith! The great answer that solves every argument... It is all rubish!

Just a small misconception - the Genesis account clearly puts animals on Earth before human beings. I'm not sure why you consider the presence of dinosaurs before people as being a contradiction. Aren't they animals?

As for your stated question: so, you think that several thousand years ago, a bunch of people sat down and said to each other "you know, we need a crutch for people too weak to face the real world. Let's invent something!"? Or are you simply phrasing it that way because you really want to insult believers and this was the best you could come up with?

Sorry to burst your bubble sweetie....But the "real world" is yet to begin......Jesus is pictured as the One who is returning to rule the nations of the entire earth (Revelation 11:15). He will not accept resistance from anyone who opposes His righteous rule and will make war with the nations and the leaders who oppose Him (Revelation 19:15). He punishes and takes charge for our own good—to bring peace to a world bent on destruction.

This is perhaps the most important picture of Jesus in the Bible, because this is the Jesus Christ the entire world will meet sometime in the coming years—perhaps in the not-too-distant future.

From these prophecies it becomes clear that Jesus didn't die for us to have our own way. "...He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow ..." (Philippians 2:8-10).

Jesus will take His rightful place as ruler of the earth, as the saving Messiah, when He returns.

Where will you find yourself at that point???

Partly true. The main cause of religion is certainly fear of the unknown but they were developed and spread by the controllers to give them power and wealth by dominating the believers from the cradle to the grave.

It looks to me like religion is a political tool used to control people.
