Well the real Christ isn't going to set foot on earth again until the second coming, after the tribulation period described in Revelation. If you see a man riding a white horse out of the sky with an army behind him, that's Christ. If some dude in a tux walks into a church and says "I'm Christ", that's not Christ. If you're talking about the every day discernment we all need as Christians, just immerse yourself in His Word and you'll learn to recognize him better. :)

The false (anti-christ) will be revealed about 3 1/2 years before the real Christ returns, and will be accepted by many as god, for at least 3 years.

We know that at the moment the real Jesus returns, the flesh bodies of everyone on earth will be instantly changed into brand new resurrection bodies.

The forces of evil can perform many lying signs and wonders, but they can't do a trick like that.

So, if around that time, you think the person sitting in the temple and claiming to be god might be the real one ... just pinch yourself ... really, really hard.

If it hurts ... that guy is a fake and you've been decieved.

If it doesn't hurt ... you notice a few billion new "faces" around town ... and life seems to have acquired a whole new "feel" ... odds are ... it's the real Jesus, and Judgment Day is truly at hand.

Zorro.... the Bible has the info we all need :)

1 John 2:27 is one we should NOT forget.... it is a promise that the Holy Spirit will guide us and reveal to us all Truth, so, we need not be afraid of not recognizing a "False Christ" as long as we abide with God's Spirit and the Word of God. :)

Fact is, Jesus won't be returning until after the 7 years of the anti-Christ and false prophet....(or middle of their reign as some believe) and then the real Christ will reign for a 1,000 years..... :)

Otherwise, Surly (up above) has spoken true.... Jesus had no wishes of fame or power..... :)

Because as His word says, when we have repented of our sins and have decided to follow God the Father, Jesus Christ the son and The Holy Spirit, God gives all a gift of discernment. This is His Holy Spirit working within you. YOU WILL KNOW WHO IS FALSE AND WHO IS REALLY fake.

Since Satan mimicks everything Jesus does, such as riding in on a white horse. You will not be able to say who is Jesus and who is the Anti-christ, because without discernment you wont know the difference and fall prey to the Anti-christ....

In the discussions of false Christs in the new testament in particular, you will see that any power that claims to be Christ that attempts to gain worldly power is considered to be anti-Christ. Christ himself came to establish the kingdom of heaven, and throughout his time on earth avoided and rejected any offers of political influence or control. The people wanted to make him king and he practically ran away from them! So, if a religious leader or movement attempts to gain control politically or even economically, I would be very suspicious of that no matter what kind of good works or miracles they might be able to perform. Christ himself said to store up heavenly treasures and keep your heart on spiritual matters, not to seek out power or wealth or influence on earth. Religious leaders or movements who do the opposite of this do not represent his teaching.

It's a matter of faith, & one's POV.

If You believe he's the true one then he is. Doesn't stop someone else believing the opposite.

Life is not about absolutes.
