We got another deployment coming up for the 39th infanty(Army Guard). I get pissed everytime i turn to the news and they go on (libs)about how disastrous this war is and the mistake we made trying to establish a government! Mistake?!?! were over there fight our asses off, setting up a government which can sustain it self, defend it self, and run its self, by its self. We have been working with Iraqie troops that are some of the best troops you can work with. They stand up they fight along side us. And i have heard nothin of this, the only damn thing i'v heard was the libs distrespecting me, the army, the iraqies, and this war that were fighting for.

Lesion too a Ranger and tell me how you feel about this war.

I think you ROCK and they need to ROLL outta here!

This is my question in response to a bonehead who asked about why we haven't protested the war....

Hey Soldier, this is something that those civies could never understand.

You know that saying "You had to be there...."

They never were and never will be.

I'm tracking, Soldier.

You know what's funny? You ever see A Few Good Men? At the end when COL Jessep (Nicholson) gives his famous speech, it basically says most of what I feel like saying to these Anti-War Types;

Jessep: You want answers?
Kaffee: I want the truth!
Jessep: You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.
We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!

Stay Safe And Fight The Good Fight

Army Strong, Hooah!

I don't think anyone is disrespecting you......you took an oath to uphold the orders of the officers appointed over you. You have upheld your end. I think many people are disappointed that we haven't found the weapons of mass destruction that we originally went after. I'm personally disappointed that we have yet to catch Osama Bin Laden. The guy is on dialysis, for crying out loud. It doesn't seem like we are any closer to catching him than we were on 12 Sep 01. This may sound a little blood thirsty but I'd really like to see him dead.

Hi Zac...First I'd like to say I don't think there is an American that does not support the troops. There's a difference between supporting the troops and supporting the war. I belong to neither party and think they all need their heads examined right now BUT. If you think there will ever be stability in Iraq you need to keep thinking. I'd really like to know your age. I'm an "older" person that has been around for a long time. Those people are fighting a Civil War, have been fighting a Civil War and will continue fighting a Civil War long after you and I are gone. Our intervention in war accomplishes WHAT?? We are friends with, import from, export to, all of the countries we fought with in other wars. I, after my many years on earth still cannot what we accomplish! Just in case people are forgetting the terrorist are in all of the countries surrounding IRAQ. I think it's sad that younger folks are not outraged by what is going on. I think if there were still a draft we would not be in this war now. Anyway I had to voice my opinion. My heart goes out to all the service people EVERYWHERE and they are in my prayers each night. But I believe this war is VERY WRONG. God Speed and be Safe.

I would say the main reason they are protesting is because of all the men dying and getting severe injuries that they have to live with for the rest of their lives. These protesters see soldiers' deaths as senseless.

It's like the Vietnam war. There were protests to end the war then.

My husband has been to Iraq and been injured but never complains about the politics. He went there, did his job and now he is home where he belongs.

I am with you all the way, i nice to know that it not just mindless liberals on yahoo, I don't know why the media wont show the good that we are doing, i think there scared about there reputation being ruined, and with ANTI-americans SELL-OUTS green day and dixi chicks, kids think it cool to hate the president, it's really sad, i ask ppl why they hate the war and president, and they all give me the same anwser, "war is stupid" "bush is dumb", kind like a new gen of hippys(i hate hippys), but yeah, and these upcoming elections could mean disaster, if the democrats take the white house, they will take our troops out too early, and iraq will go into a worser place than it was before , so we have to succeed in Iraq. and these liberals couldnt walk a mile in your shoes, my shoes, or those in iraq right now. and thank you for your service, I really mean that, America called and you answered, Thanks

Thank you for your service and for gods sake keep your subordinates safe and your head down. I want 100% of your unit to deploy without incident and return with the same 100% unharmed. That being said, I cannot deal well with the chicken turds who refer to the military as murderers and torturers, it just eats at my craw. However, we will always need a healthy debate in this country as to whether America sends its soldiers in harms way or not. Those who oppose the war genuinely, without predjeduce to the military, provide this country to weigh the appropriate action for your mission. I personally feel that this war is just, honest, and true of heart to defeat terrorism and assist the Iraqis/Afghanistans to improve their way of life. Long winded I know but after all I was a MSG serving as a Battalion Sergeant Major before retiring so it comes naturally...sorry. Thats my personal logic take it for what it is worth, and again remember 100% always.

All I can say is Thank you for your service to our country! God Bless! Don't pay so much attention to the Corporate Media, they make everything look bad and rarely ever show anything good that is going on in Iraq. They speak of death, car bombers, soldiers dying etc. That is why people are upset about the war, not upset at you, or the rest of our servicemen. The Corporate Media, makes it sound like nothing is getting accomplished!
Take Care, and Thank You, once again!

The left is invested in defeat. They will never admit anything positive that may come from Iraq. They care about power, and power alone. I have several family members who have served and are still serving in Iraq. All have shared the same concerns as you. The anti-war protesters could care less why we are in Iraq... they have but one purpose... to make the United States look bad and blame us for all of the world's ills. Thank you for your service, keep the faith and know that there are many here who support you and our cause (we just don't have control of the mass media). :)

It's stupid I know. They think they know what's going on and they use morality as an excuse for cowardice. They all LOVE to say, " Oh I'd fight if it was for a noble cause" but you know they're lying. The only time they'd fight would be if they got backed into a corner but then it would be too late. Dude, you and I know the type and we know it doesn't wash with what's really happening. Let them worry about legalizing dope, allowing illegal immigration and crying that war is so bad. Guys like us always have and always will take care of the real problems.

ha ha ha! how many more wimps r gonna give me a thumbs down!
