I think that the most positive effect is by keeping the American economy moving by doing the jobs American chose not to do. The Americans enjoy the low prices that are the end product of these low wages .The cost of food in the store. The Farmer grows the product with the help of low wage workers, the middle man buys the product and supplies the Super Market. Who sells it to the consumer at reasonable prices, every one is happy!
If wages where raised to a point to attract American workers, The cost of planting ,feeding, weeding ect the normal cost of production. The farmer will pass that cost to the middleman ( the middleman could chose to purchase cheaper farm products imported from foreign countries and refuse to buy the more costly American Product), who will pass it on to the stores , Who in turn pass it on to you.
If you fail to pay the increased cost of all food across the board,or if he is undersold by foreign imports. You will force the farmer to , Move his operation out of the United States to where the cheaper labor is,(so he can stay in business / remain competitive on the international market ) or to shut down his farm and sell the land to developers.

That is what I believe is the most positive effect of the Undocumented on the American economy.

I was wondering why you look like strawberry shortcake.

It definetely is not cultural exchange. They do not interact so much with our society, so they do not contribute as much as legal immigrants. It's hard to exchange ideas , when one side is hiding. Frankly I worry about cultural exchange in the other direction. Too many illegal immigrants are bringing some of our least desirable qualities home. Single mothers, drug problems, gang mentality, materialism, and our work attitude ( I admire the more laid back work attitude down south).

I 'm not sure about lowering the cost of products. One, price is relative. If they lower our salary, then frankly the lower cost of goods means little. Second, I think things are too cheap. It cause waste and lack of appreciation for the product. I find with the cheap products we see now, that I end up buying a bunch of junk. It's hard to evaluate the value of a product from a macroscopic view.

I would say that they help buffer economic cycles. The economy is cyclic; moving from growth phase to recession. If we create enough jobs for people during a recession, we would have a huge shortage of workers during the good times. I think illegal immigrants have filled the niche. Now that our economy is heading towards a recession, we are now deporting some of them. Now that our construction industry is doing badly, we start deporting people. If the excess workers were Americans, they would be collecting unemployement instead. Some people here also tells me that the border patrol was instructed not to enforce the law when farmers are in short supply of labor.

I personally don't like this policy, if it is intentional. We would turn people in to a disposable commodity. If we need people we should increase Visas, and tell them up front, that it is only temporary, until our economy goes sour. I don't like that either, but it's the best compromise I got. At least this way, we can monitor people to make sure they are treated fairly.

some of them are realy nice and realy good friends. its always good to have cultural diversity in the country. i know buisnesses like them because they tend to be very reliable and dedicated hardworking employees. cheaper goods are always nice but its also good to keep wages in check not too low not to high, thats what realy keeps goods/services lowcost. interesting costume, sometimes its more fun to go cutsey on halloween then to go yucky or scary. :)

Cheaper prices. Which could also come about to out sourcing but then no Americans would have jobs.

Cute costume.

i see no benefit or positive effect. they can get state aid for themselves and afdc/tanf for the children they have in the U.S. page 1 at the bottom on the link proves they can get aid from the state and federal government. just another uninformed person running their mouth. most illegals do not pay taxes because they work under the table. so they are a financial drain on the U.S.

The fact that they are coming over here and people are starting to notice will probably help us tighten our national security and find out where the leaks are to plug them.

Job security for corrections officers, police and border patrol is all I can come up with.

If I had to pick ONE benefit, I would say the cheap labor.

well, they pay income tax thru payroll deductions, but the benefits like AFDC and other types of welfare aren't available to them, so I'd say there are some pretty clear financial gains for those of us who are 'legal.'
