We only dated 2 months over the summer, and it ended because I suffocated the relationship when she left for college because I was scared of her finding someone else. But now it's been over a month and she still the only girl I think about. I wake up in the morning and think about her lying next to me, and go to sleep at night thinking about the same thing. It's the only thing that gets me out of bed and to sleep. There are some days that aren't that bad, but then then there will be days when she is all I think about and it's just like it was the day after we broke up. Why can't I just move on? Is there anything I can do to get over her (besides giving it time)?

Love is bittersweet, it gives you incredible joy and can also inflict some severe pain as you have already discovered..Since your only option right now is not to see her,and to try to forget her, that is what you need to do.Admit the love you have for her. then also admit the fact that you have to get over her First, stay away from common areas you both visit, then to the extent possible, keep away from common friends. All of these measures coupled with just moving on and time will eventually ease the pain of your break up and heal the open sores of your wounds. Good luck.

Time is of the essence. You are obsessed and have to make a deliberate effort to move on or you are going to be so pissed you wasted so many days lulling over her and she becomes married with kids years down the road.

It's pathetic behavior, pick up the confidence and get over it.

Honestly bro.
It takes time.
It doesnt matter how long it was.
You need to go out with your friends or family and to everything you can to keep your mind off it.
Bro I was with my ex for over four years
and then she broke up with me becasue she wanted to experience being single.
It hurt but I got over it.
You will too. Time heals all wounds
