I would give it time. If things are going to happen they will. He's probably just trying to talk to his ex so they can be friends or somehing. Only time will tell. In the meantime just keep doing what your doing . If he likes you he will continue to like you no matter what. And if friendship is what it ends up being then that just means he wasn't the one for you and someone else will come along that is right for you. And you also have to wonder why they broke up I mean it could be his fault and he was aplogizing. You have to think about that because if it is his fault you have to think what he must have done and what he could do to you if ya'll where together.

there is always a chance they could get back together but anything could happen. Do yourself a favor and try not to worry about what could happen. If you want something to happen...make it happen. You need to put yourself in a position where you will know for sure if he's ready to move on. If you're friends with him, just talk to him. BUT don't look like a vulture moving in after the kill. Let him know you are there for him.....become his friend, BUT always flirt a little and let him know you're interested. If he is, he'll come around, if not......there'll be another one. I'm 36 and I've found there is ALWAYS another one. Usually the next one is better than the last.
Good luck.

Don't know... No one here does, since we don't know WHY they broke-up.
Now, if he starts coming on to you, hold him at arms length, since he's on the rebound. Generally, the rebound period is considered to be 1 week per month they went out.
After that...have fun!
