My professional 8.2 megapixel camera will at its max make a 18" x 20" enlargement.
Do you or most people have money to shell out for a pitcure frame thats 18" x 20" ????????????????/

Not to be rude or anything, but if you want a real job first you need to get a degree in it and by the way, people don't want pictures from a not very bright person who is bad at writing, I don't care about your "stereotype" it isn't cool and won't get you anywhere in life, spell it out, it's not a lot to type :)
Anyways I recommend getting a new camera with higher mega pixels and has good optical zoom and different varieties of ways to take the photo, like micro, night, etc. You get it. Something like a Nikon camera. Those are good, Don't forget to have a tripod. You probably have a shaky hand!
By the way, go on ebay and don't get photoshop, There is a thing called GIMP at http://www.gimp.org and is a manipulation of photoshop! Don't waste money.
And actually read the instruction manual before so.

It is not so much the camera as the lighting used and the knowledge of how to use it. It is also important to understand how your camera works and the different settings and what they do. If you want to take professional quality pictures you should take photography class. You can really learn a lot.

Simple answer. If you're already having questions whether or not you should be replacing your camera or getting a new one - then the answer is YES.
It just simply shows that in one way or another you are already not satisfied with what you have.

you need those kind of cameras that look "old school" but are still digital. they're expensive though, but they take GREAT pictures! 5mp isn't that good.. look around for 7 or higher.

ok read this: professioanl images are made by trained and/or schooled "professionals", using light/lights
cameras are just tools, what you are lacking is lights and the skill to use them

regular cameras take those also..but photographers for models use like 10mp which is like a $700 camera...
get a photo editing software for your camera like photoshop
or paintshop..
