Check there email constantly hoping for a reply ? like not ALL day but often?
I feel weird doing it alot but i cant help it
does any one else

The short and simply answer is yes.In my case an alert lets me know when I get any new unread mail. This allows me to choose when i answer them You may want to do the same thing.Have the program alert you anytime you have new mail which is fresh and unread. this way you can decide when to pick them up and read them.I hope this helps you some since you have a measure of control.
