Sweating is our body's natural mechanism to provide cooling whenever heat is produced, such as when we're in a warm place or when we're exercising. when the sweat dries off on ur skin, u feel cool and that what it's supposed to provide you.
Burned calories correspond to the amount of muscular contraction/exercise you've performed. thus, u still burn a lot even when exercising in an air-conditioned room, or during swimming... both cases u would seem to wonder why sweating doesn't seem to be apparent.

Sweating does not show the amount of burning calories; instead, it tells that your body needs cooling down.
In warm and humid area, such as in tropical countries, even when you are sleeping, you can sweat.

No - it just means you have exerted yourself enough to overheat. There are many exercises that do not make you sweat like Yoga, Tai Chi and so on.
