I've never seen it live but PBS plays it every year. I love it. That sounds like you have nice memories with your family.

I have been to the ballet, "The Nutcracker."
I found it beautiful: the music, the dancing, the stage set. It makes for a very festive feeling for the Christmas season. And, as you noted, it is nice to go out for a lovely lunch or dinner to make the day complete. Hope you have another lovely Christmas this year.

Yes, I went several times throughout the years when I was young. It's a ballet where a young girl gets A doll for Christmas and dreams she is the doll and has all kinds of adventures with an army of rats and swans, etc,.etc. It's like Tchaikovsky made the quintessential Christmas program that will live forever

Do you mean the BALLET? Music by Tchaikovsky? It is often performed on the 31st of Dec in some theatres around the world.

Nope. My sister sometimes watches the movie on Christmas, though.

It's very long. I liked the first act, not the second.
