Forget about it and hang out with people that are nicer

I'd tell that person that everyone has their own opinion and when I want theirs, I'll ask for it, otherwise be careful what you say, it may you the one who ends up alone and unhappy.

I'd also know this person has some serious issues of their own. It takes a very mean, insensitive person to say something that could be very hurtful to another person.

I would most certainly stay away from this person and not let them know anymore about your life or what you are doing.
The less they now know, the better off the person is that was told. Oh and I would NOT trust that person.

I hope you weren't the one who said it to another person, remember what goes around...comes back around :+

Say: "If I do, it's only because you're the last person on the planet."

I'm kidding. Seriously though, ignore that person. Unless s/he is a proven psychic, don't put any thought into such careless words. Surround yourself with nicer people.

Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent. ~Eleanor Roosevelt

I guess it would depend on if that's the way I was projecting myself to other people. If so, then I might take a long look in the mirror and try to better myself.

id remind them of the tons of people in relationships who are freaking miserable, and that I have money in the bank, a nice comfy bed I don't have to share, can watch what I want and do what I want and not have to report to anyone where I went and what I did.

I would make sure that I have good parents and I would choose a job that I would look foward to everyday. I would also use my time to do different community service projects.

I'd probably tell them, "Well thank God that AT LEAST means I won't wind up with YOU for a Life Partner!" and walk away.
