I dreamt of someone putting a rather beautiful snake near my feet, it started coiling around my ankles forming the number 8 while i lied flat, each foot was in a loop. i was very scared and stiff, and i wanted to lift my back slightly to unstiffen it, as i did it the snake bit me on the back, so i grabbed it without looking (because i was too scared), i found its jaws and killed it by splitting the jaws.. and somehow i knew its teeth would sink into my hands if i did that, but i still did it. it hissed as it died. it was so scary.. and i wonder whether it means anything or was i just too tired?
Thanks in advance.

well, i said it was scary because i woke up right after the dream in the middle of the night, and kept imagining giant snakes in my room so i was scared after the dream as well as in it.
Also, right after i killed the snake, i was scared at myself for the act. I think i was afraid of and angry at the snake at the same time. But i killed it because i didnt want to face waiting there and not knowing what it would do next.

That's a really cool dream, although I can see how it would be scary. Dreams are so misunderstood and foreign to us. I don't think anybody really knows what dreams mean.
There are a variety of dream interpretation websites, I'll post one on here and you can search. Here's a few things from there:

about the snake -
To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.

about the number 8 -
Eight stands for power of authority, success, karma, material gains, regeneration, and wealth. When the number eight appears in your dream, trust your instincts and intuition

about your fear in the dream -
To dream that you are scared, indicates that you are experiencing self-doubt and feelings of incompetence. You may be feeling a lack of control. Anger often masquerades as fear, so also consider issues about which you are angry about in your waking life.

Go look for yourself if you care to. Hope this helps.

Ibelieve you had a problem or going to be cofronted with a problem that is involving close friends or family. The beautiful snake at your feet means that your problem comes from a hidden agenda. Being physically beautiful but beneath has cruel intentions. Your feet being tied and looped means that you are caught in this situation that only you can un -tangle and resolve even though it may upset friend or loved ones. The snake biting you means that you have been backed into a corner so that the only choice you have is to come out of that corner and take control though it could be very uncomfortable for others. By killing the snake you faced your delimas and found resolution and conqured.

Snake represent deceit, deception, or lies. For a snake to be put at your feet means someone has put a deception before you which has cause your walk in life to be hindered or tied up. I do not mean physical walk, but there are some decision you can't enforce because of this deception. To be bit by a snake represents you have fallen under the influence of the deception. To be bit in the back represents you have been decieved you can not carry certain burdens. Back is related to carrying burdens and loads. To break the snakes jaws represents that you have broken the power of it's influence over your life.

I read somewhere in a book that snakes represent sexuality and having in hold you down and then bite you in the back means that you could be struggling with weither your straight or not! But don't worry I'm sure your straight b/c you killed the snake therefor you killed the insecurity of your sexuality

Something has been holding you back in your life and preventing you from moving forward. The act of grabbing the snake and killing it means that you are finally ready to take charge. You know the risks but you do it anyways.

Maybe someone in your life that you find attractive, charming, but you don't really trust is attempting to convince you to accept their opinion, by manipulation, or by force or both and is very insistent. You may have rejected them sharply and thus "killed"
their attempts, but the act scared you because you are somewhat entranced by them.
