No, never thought of joining, although I always appreciate the visits, as I like company, especially people with interesting things to say.
Honestly, the thing that I CAN'T wrap my mind around with JW doctrine is the whole narrow-mindedness of it all. You have to reject every other truth on earth and the evidence of your own heart to embrace such an intellectual (yet not consistently logical) religion.
Where is the heart in it? There is so much fear and deliberate misinformation in it (ie "teaching" about "what other religions believe" and why they are wrong). That's what bugs me. I also find it rather hypocritical, as the JWs want people to learn about their own religion from themselves, but still try to teach their adherents about what other religions believe, and not allowing them to explore for themselves, through direct contact.
But other than that, I am happy to go to the various meetings, without there being the slightest temptation of actual "conversion".
What I already have is so satisfying to me, in both intellect and the spirit of things.

It is very difficult to come out of the beast but those that do finally will have a great deal of support if they want it.
Reaction to the heresy of the WTB&TS actually pushes some people who get disgruntled and leave toward atheism or agnosticism.
So, if in and decieved the Adversary gets them - if they leave and become anti God in some way the Adversary also wins.
The old Dragon has a win/win set up for self in this way.

They have no Jesus which is the only way to the Father. In 1950's a man that started the Jehovah's witnesses thinks he correct mistaken translations from experts of the time way back in time. It turns out the guy was not even an expert in ancient Hebrew. Not only that his would make everyone who was born before their false correction wrong and miss out on salvation. They basically call God a liar. The bible was written by men that where carried along by the Holy Spirit. It is infallible and the Word of God.

No, but while going thru a particularly lonely separation from my then husband, I actually let them in my house to talk to me b/c I was sooooooooo lonely. "They" were a random mix of harmless and cute little old Philipina ladies. I humored them. They didn't bother me all, but I let them know from the git-go that I wasn't gonna join, and I didn't.

No. I had an aunt who became one and nearly let one of her kids die because she didn't believe in blood transfusions. Luckily the kid's father stepped in and signed the release.
I'm a happy heathen.

Not me. God drew me to Himself, quickened me (caused me to be "born again"), and gave me the gifts of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I owe my salvation to Him and to Him alone.
Solely for the glory of God!
