when do you think ps3's cost will drop about $100 next two years or this christmas thank you.

Just like everyone else said, the PS3's price just dropped $100 and on Nov. 2 the 40GB PS3 will sell for $399. That's cheap enough for a PS3 right now. The 60GB and 80 GB PS3 both sell for $499.
If your asking when any of the PS3's price may drop more than they already have dropped, I think that it will be at least 1-2 more years before Sony drops the price again. I think that the 40GB PS3's price may drop within a year, but that's about it. Sony has cut the price on the PS3's several times this year, so don't expect anymore price cuts in at least a year or more.

40GB Playstation 3 is 400 Dollars. No Backwards Compatibility with PS2/1 Games.
80GB Playstation 3 is 500 Dollars. It has Backwards compatibility with about 80% (and increasing) of PS2/1 Games. it uses software emulation much like XBox 360.
20GB Playstation 3 was Discontinued quite a long time ago. it has no Wi Fi.
60GB Playstation 3 is Discontinued, but there are currently a few still on the shelf. if you can get one, get the 60GB as it has the best backwards compatibility with PS2/1 Games. its about 90% backwards compatible, so it supports quite a bit more than the 80GB version.
the reason the 20 and 60GB versions have better backwards compatibility is they use a hardware chip which costs more money rather than software emulation. sony found a cheaper alternative with the 80GB.

Ya, 80gb dropped 100bucks and the 40gb is 399, which comes out Nov 2nd I believe.

yeah Nov 2 its suppose to drop maybe toward the end of the ps3 it will be really cheap.
